Birthdays are the occasion to have some fun with your friends and loved ones. Check out some exciting tips to arrange a perfect Birthday Party:

Invitation
Make a list of all those guests whom you want to invite to your Birthday party. Send the bithday invitation to your guests. Your birthday invitation should provide the following information:

  1. The party occasion
  2. Day and date of party;
  3. The party host (Your name, Your contact no, Your address - directions to reach to your party zone, nearest landmarks. If possible, enclose a direction map along with your invitation).
  4. Menu for the party - state whether it will be a veg or a non-veg party.
  5. The duration of your party

Venue
The venue of your Birthday Party depends on number of guests. It is better to throw a party at your place; this way you can make all the necessary arrangements without spending too much. However, you can also get party venues on hire and if you like to celebrate outdoors, talk to your parents and get on rent some good place to hold your bash in.

Party Decoration
Decorations add color and excitement to any party. An easy party decoration idea is to purchase partyware sets, consisting of matching table cloths, plates, cups, and napkins, that display the theme of the party. Balloons make for another brilliant party decoration!. Buy a number of helium balloons and allow them to float up to the ceiling of your party venue with long ribbons. If you don't want helium balloons, you can go for regular balloon decorations. Tie several balloons together with a ribbon, curl it using scissors or a knife and tape over your doorway or hang from a ceiling light fixture (see that they are not too close to the bulbs). Also hang a fringe of streamers over the doorways. When the party is over, send a balloon home with each of your friend. This will be a cool party favour.

Party Ambience
Creating the right atmosphere for your party is highly important. You can arrange for some nice birthday music and keep them playing softly in the background to add to the mood of your party. Place a Happy Birthday banner on the main door with your name in it.

Food
Food is another important aspect of your birthday party. So make sure that you arrange for some of the most lip-smacking dishes make your birthday bash occasion an unforgettable one for your buddies. Zesty dishes are the best for birthday menus.

Party Favors
A sweet gesture to thank your guests for attending your party is Party favors. Appreciate their presence in spite of their busy schedule. It ends the festivities on a sweet note and keeps the memory of the party alive for your invited ones by handing them a return gift.

  • New Year Party

New Year Eve is very exciting and memorable. Here are some ideas for New year eve's party.

Invitation

Invite a few close friends to ring in the New Year with an easy, intimate party at home.

Decorations

Let the theme for this new year party be the clock. On the entrance, hang a huge cut-out of a clock and write the words "WELCOME" in colorful letters. Also hang the welcome clocks from the ceiling. Party decoration remains incomplete without balloons. Hang them everywhere and flaunt your creativity by drawing clocks on the balloons with permanent markers.

Plan Games

Provide your guests with pencils and paper and ask them to write as many New Year resolutions as they can think of on slips of paper. The resolutions can range from serious to silly stuff. Ask them to fold the resolutions and put them in a basket and shuffle all the chits. Ask your guests to take out one. If they don't think the resolution is for them, they have to try to give it away to someone else. Have them read their resolution out to the others beginning with "I resolve.".

Clothes

New Year's all about new dresses. So you can wear your best party clothes, or, dress up in "play" dress clothes.

Food

Food is the next important thing. Traditional New Year foods are thought to bring luck. Many cultures believe that anything in the shape of a ring

[e.g. "Donuts"] is good luck, because it symbolizes "coming full circle," completing a year's cycle. You can arrange snacks, drinks, and desserts for your party.

Play Music

Celebrate the new year by playing some music of your choice.

  • Diwali Party

Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is primarily celebrated by the Indian community and marks the beginning of the lunar New Year. The word 'Diwali' originates from the ancient Indian word 'Deepavali'. Deepa means light and avali means row - literally, a row of lights.

Light
In India, lights are synonymous with Diwali. As well as lighting up your home, create a festive atmosphere by leaving fairy lights around your front door or in the garden and put candles on window ledges, mantle shelves and tables.

Fireworks
Fireworks are an essential part of Diwali and kick start the first day of the festivities. Simple sparklers and rockets are ideal for an illuminating evening of outdoor fun. (Be sure to follow the firework code.)

Clothes and jewels
Many Indian families do a lot of shopping at this time of year - saving up to spend their money on new clothes.

Dressing the table
Greet guests with a lovely and impressive table that welcomes them to the feast. Below, a few easy ideas for decorations.

  • For the table:

Use ethnic, coloured-silk tablecloths to brighten up the table.
Light up the surface with lots of coloured candles and brightly coloured flowers in small vases.
Sprinkle the tablecloth with flower petals.
Use gold rimmed plates and glasses to add an extra festive touch.

  • For the room:

Glass candle holders around the room will provide a sense of warmth and light.
Place flowers in coloured vases throughout the room.
Use incense sticks to create a pleasant smell and calming influence on the room.
Arrange a group of candles on a tray or large plate and place on a coffee or side table.
Coloured light bulbs and lampshades will help create a warm ambience in the room.

  • Christmas Party

Decorate your party with a Santa theme, hire a Santa to distribute gifts, invite neighborhood children to make Santa crafts or cookies, Arranging a secret Santa party can work wonders. Or you can show Santa themed family videos. Ask the invitees to wear red, pass out Santa hats, and have a program of recitations of Santa poems and stories. The "Fattest Santa" theme can also work wonders for your X'mas bash. This is a fun theme in which everyone has to get dressed like Santa Claus and the fattest one gets to steal the limelight! You can stuff yourself with pillows, cushions, balloons and anything you can find. You need to buy an extra large Santa suit for yourself. Of course, you can burst those balloons later!

  • Pet Party

Invitation

Invite your friends along with their pets. Invitation cards should be colorful and hand written. Make sure you draw the pictures of the pets of each of your friends whose name in turn should be written artistically.

Decorations

Place stuffed animal toys in strategic positions where your friends can cuddle and play with them. Hang balloons in bunches wherever it looks good. Make arrangements for a place, maybe in your backyard, for your friends to keep their respective pets. You can give it the appearance of a barn. Arrange for some hay stacks to mark the boundaries of the artificial barn. A separate place needs to be arranged if your friends’ pets include birds. When your friends start pouring in, give each of them a cap where both your friend and his pet’s names are inscribed or painted. Each of them can keep it as a memoir. Two table needs to be spread out. One would include the delicacies that you plan to prepare for your buddies and the other for the pets.

Party Game

While your pets have a blast, you in the mean time can indulge yourselves in the following game. Arrange yourselves in a circle and sit down. Divide yourselves into two groups. Call a member of the other group and whisper the name of a pet in his ear and he has to explain that to his team mates without speaking anything other than YES and NO. His team mates can ask him three questions and guess the right answer. Each correct answer would fetch the team animal stickers and small animal toys which the team members can share among themselves after the game gets over.
