some colors to the picture.
- When the entire picture is complete, draw lines at

- Take your scissors and cut the picture very carefully
along the lines.

Materials:
1. Small
container
2. Small shovel
3. Wet sand
4. Seashells, driftwood, and other
medium-sized beach items
5. Plaster of paris
6. Water
Procedure:
- Have your child shovel wet sand into the container to
fill it about a third of the way.
- Let him/her select beach items to add to the cast.
Limit the items so that there is some space in between
them.
- Show your child how to press the items so they are
securely stuck into the sand without being buried.
- Make a mixture by adding water and plaster of
paris.
- Spread the mixture over the sand and shells so that it
reaches the top of the container.
- Let the cast dry for a few days then gently remove from
the container and rinse off.
Materials:

2. Tape
3. Beads
Procedure:
- Make sure you have enough yarn for your arm to slip on

the knot.
- Tie a knot at the top of the yarn to hold the strands
together.
- You can hold the strings in your mouth while you braid
or you can tape the beginning of the bracelet to a table to hold it
still while you braid.
- Braid the string and add some beads to the
string.
- Tie the two ends together when you are at the
end.

- Put the marble in the lid and gently lift the lid and
tilt it back and forth and side to side.
- The marble will make a design of paint across the
paper.
- You can use multiple colors of paint. It is best to
allow the first color to dry before begining with the
next.
Materials:
1. Poster board
2. Pair of
compasses
3. Scissors
4. Stapler
5. Craft Knife
Procedure:
- On a poster board sheet, draw a circle large enough for
the brim of the hat.
- Cut out the circle finely using scissors. Trim the
rough edges for a smooth finish.
- Inside this circle, draw a second circle shape (large
enough to fit the wearer's head). Cut it out using the craft
knife.
- Measure the diameter of the brim. Cut another circle of
the poster board measuring about 6 inches larger for the
crown.
- Place the needle of the compass along the scale of the
ruler. Drag the pencil 3 inches away from the needle.
- Now pin the needle. Draw the 6 inches diameter circle
by rotating the pencil.
- Cut a slit from the edge into the center, after folding
this circle into a cone shape to fit inside the brim. Staple the
cone in position where the cut ends of the poster board
overlaps.
- Tape the cone to the brim on the inside.

completely.
- Then wrap the entire box with the cellophane paper and
you are ready with your craft.
Materials:
1. Paper grocery
bag
2. Coat Hanger

another small hole in the center of the base to hang the hanger on.
Tape the photo to the inside of the larger opening and check to see
that it is visible and lined up. Take the coat hanger and put it
inside the bag. Pull the curved handle through the smaller hole and
hang the three-dimensional frame somewhere where it can be
seen.
Materials:
1. White T-Shirt
2. Fabric paint
3. Paint brush
